What I Do When I Meet With A Patient
When I meet with a patient, for whatever health issue they are experiencing, I am finding out how they experience what is bothering them. I am finding out about them as an individuals. We are all different in how we experience what bothers us. My job is to listen, bserve, witness, and hear what the patient is sharing, showing, and telling me about what is bothering them. I write this all down. The patient’s language is important. Then, give the homeopathic remedy that is similar to this. It matches a homeopathic remedy to what the patient is experiencing. One of the main principles of homeopathy is the Law of Similar or Like Cures like.
The homeopathic remedy stimulates your wonderful ability to heal yourself. It stimulates your vital force, your chi, and your immune system. I often say that the homeopathic remedies assist you in your healing. You are doing the healing. Often, a series of homeopathic remedies are needed, using one at a time, to help your body heal itself.

What My Patients Tell Me
I have been told by one of my patients that I am a good detective. I want to know as much as I can about what is bothering my patients. I need to know what the symptoms are like for them.
When did they start?
What was going on then?
What is their emotional state?
What other symptoms do they experience?
Fears. Dreams. Past medical history. What triggers them? And more. I follow the patient and ask questions to understand what the patient is experiencing. It is almost like fine-tuning and putting together a jigsaw puzzle.
We are individuals.

Homeopathy and Patient Care: Appointments
You are an individual with unique needs and health goals, and I approach each of my patients that way.
Your initial consultation can last up to two hours or perhaps longer. During this time, I listen, observe, witness, and write down how you describe what you are experiencing in your symptoms. Your language is very important.
IN addition, I may ask about your dreams, your fears, your interests, and more. All of this information guides me in the selection of the homeopathic remedy that is most similar to what you are experiencing. The remedy stimulates your own healing process. We have a wonderful ability to heal ourselves.
FOLLOW-UP appointments are important.
These appointments help me to understand how you are responding to the homeopathic remedy.
At these appointments, we may either wait and allow the remedy to continue to work, take another dose of the remedy, or use a completely different homeopathic remedy. Often, a series of homeopathic remedies are needed in the healing process. The first follow-up appointment is scheduled about four weeks after the initial dose of the homeopathic remedy is taken. Subsequent appointments are scheduled about three to five weeks or as needed. These appointments last from 30 – 90 minutes. They help us see your process of healing.
Process of Healing
Healing is a process. We want a healing, not just a managing of the symptoms.
We want to see the health issue that brought the patient in for homeopathic care to be better, and also that they are feeling better in themselves, able to handle life’s ups and downs better, sleeping better, eating more healthy, taking care of themselves better. Homeopathy addresses the totality of the person, and we want to see that in the healing. Health is freedom. Illness is
limitations.
